| This Sunday morning I finally spied both Mourning Doves
on the ground near the bird feeder. Maybe the mate was around all
the time. |

| I almost didn't notice this one in the morning shadows.
I had to lighten the picture for clarity. |

| Here they are together; one is in the upper right of the
picture; the other is in the lower left. These birds, like some
others, are ground feeders. But they may have had their fill by
this time, and are just basking in the brisk March morning. |
